Your Lowcountry Sailing Escape

Mount Pleasant residents know the appeal of life on the water. But sometimes you want to get away from the familiar and experience something new, without traveling too far.

GT Sailing Adventures in Georgetown offers exactly that: a peaceful, scenic sailing experience on Winyah Bay, just under an hour from Mount Pleasant. It's close enough for a spontaneous day trip but feels like a world away from the bustle of the Charleston metro area.

Winyah Bay: The Hidden Gem Up the Coast

While Shem Creek and Charleston Harbor offer their own charm, Winyah Bay provides something different - solitude. As one of the largest estuaries in South Carolina, the bay offers miles of open water surrounded by undeveloped islands and historic properties.

Our charters take you past Hobcaw Barony, Cat Island, and North Island, with possible views of the Georgetown Lighthouse. The pace is relaxed, the scenery is stunning, and the experience is personal—we take a maximum of 6 guests per sail.
